PANORAMIC TOUR OF PARIS

Full-day excursion. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Paris, including a stop off at the Trocadero, from where you will admire the Eiffel Tower. Continue to the Arc de Triomphe and drive down the Champs-Elysées. In the afternoon, continue on to the artistic area of Montmartre.

9:00 am: Be met in the lobby of your hotel for a panoramic and walking tour of Paris which will give you the opportunity to view the most famous monuments of this beautiful city.

Enjoy a stop around the Trocadero, from where you can admire the spectacular Eiffel Tower. At the time of its construction in 1889, the tower was the tallest structure in the world, a title it retained until 1930, when New York City's Chrysler Building was completed. The tower is the second-highest structure in France and the highest structure in Paris.

Continue to the Arc de Triomphe and drive down the Champs-Elysées, “the most beautiful avenue in the world.” View the obelisk on the place de la Concorde and continue to the Opera district where you can have lunch at leisure. We suggest a typical Parisian lunch in one of the charming brasseries of the city.

In the afternoon, continue to the charming Montmartre, a hill in the north of Paris, primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Coeur on its summit. The Sacré-Coeur is built of travertine stone. This stone constantly exudes calcite, which ensures that the basilica remains white despite the weather and pollution. Most of the views of Paris seen in the movie “Amelie” were filmed from this hill! Enjoy a walking tour of the district.

Finish the afternoon at Notre Dame de Paris, often known simply as Notre Dame in English, a Gothic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité. Notre Dame is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture.

5:00 pm: Return to your hotel in Paris.
